Sandia, mix-breed female, age 5+ ( born 6/2015) 2 years+5 months at Scooby (foster-home) ( since April/2018) available

This little girl is Sandia, she is in foster care and is a complicated case. She need a family that has experience with these types of (traumatized) dogs and that knows how to react if walking is scared (because she goes crazy and try to escape), it has taken a long time to get them to walk as well as seen in the video. When she is at home, she is with herself and lets you touch her depending on the day. Photo Jan/20/2020 :  Sandía on her “let’s learn how to be a good dog” daily lesson ; today we have walked on the leash and selfie time.

Little Sandia is progressing well. Although she seemed not to be improving at first, suddenly, in a matter of a few days she has managed to walk on the leash, which terrified her the most and has learned to play with Koldo, a beautiful kitten who is also in foster care waiting for his forever home. This has got to be your year little Sandia! 🍉If you are interested in this little girl, you should know that to adopt her you have to be experienced in dealing with traumatised dogs; we wouldn’t want her to relapse and forget what she’s achieved so far.Information about Sandia 👇 supervisorrefugio@scoobymedina.org

SANDIA

SANDIA is a 5+ year old mix-breed, girl (born 6/8/2015) She arrived at Scooby on April/21/2018 ; from Sanchonuño (Segovia)
She arrived with her 4 sibblings : Mandarina-Fresa-Coco-Limon (all adopted ) They came to Scooby after a long time trying to catch them. They were all very shy, and needed time to trust people
Sweet, lovely little girl; very shy ( Traumatized***, Not Socialized )
After all her sibblings were adopted, Sandia could not stay alone in the Shelter anymore, she was too scared too unhappy, and too lonely. Now she lives in a foster-Home
This little sweetie lives in a Foster Home now, but she is in need of her own forever loving Home
