When God had made the earth and sky
the flowers and the trees,
He then made all the animals
the fish, the birds and bees.

And when at last He’d finished
not one was quite the same.
He said, “I’ll walk this world of mine
and give each one a name.”

And so He traveled far and wide
and everywhere He went,
a little creature followed Him
until it’s strength was spent.

When all were named upon the earth
and in the sky and sea,
the little creature said, “Dear Lord,
there’s not one left for me.”

Kindly the Father said to him,
“I’ve left you to the end.
I’ve turned my own name back to front
and called you dog, My friend.”

Finally your vacation has arrived and I am very happy because now we can share more time together and enjoy each other when we discover new places. But this was not your plan and you explained that where you are going there are no dogs allowed and that you are going to bring me to a place where I will be fine and possibly will find another family, cheeting on yourself, taking away your guilty feeling.

You put me in the car next to the suitcases and I am happy thinking that you changed your mind but we arrive in a place where there are more dogs and they bark at me, they frighten me and there I realised that there is no way back, you are going to do it…

You leave me tied to a fence and you go without looking back to see how sad and alone I am. I try desperate my last opportunity to bark and cry to you thinking that you will turn around and come for me but that moment did not come.

Now I am in a place sharing my desperation with others, who went through the same, some are nicer than others and I feel unthankful, thinking this is a nightmare from which I have to wake up!

All I want is to feel loved again, sharing my life with someone who will love me for the rest of my life. I want to cry as loud as I can but I am small and nobody hears me because we are with so many who are crying…
