One of the most Needy Scooby-Dogs , in very urgent need of a Home.

This cold night (Dec/4/2020 ) in which most of us are warm at home, we do not take a thought out of our heads, tonight the animals of the shelter will be suffering, all will undoubtedly because the cold is intense although some more than others depending on their constitution , his fur, his age … today Roldán was chilled with cold, he could barely move… and when our companion approached him she sucked his hand shaking as if asking for help…, I hope you can help us, I hope we can help him, today we wish more than ever to find a family for him, someone who falls in love with this little dog who came to Scooby two years ago, he’s a 10 dog as far as people are concerned, he gets along well with females in general, with males he has more problems, but please, This cannot be a reason for anyone to give him a chance, he is a dog that falls in love in person and as proof of this here is a complete book of photos of him, please today has to be the day someone sees him

Roldan is in very urgent need of a warm Home…please help Roldan

SENIOR SCOOBY DOGS

When we rescue animals we do it because they need help and because we are worried about the fate that might await them without it. We don’t choose them for their color, size or age, nor do we care if they’re healthy or sick … We don’t select which dogs to help, we don’t think about whether they’re more or less beautiful or sociable, we don’t even consider if they will be easily to be adopted or if no one will want to give them a home and they’ll have to spend the rest of their lives with us in the shelter. None of that matters …In Scooby we are animal lovers and our main goal is to help the ones most in need as they also deserve the best life possible. Winter will come soon and our oldies need us more than ever, they would be so happy if they could sleep in a warm, comfortable home… Will we be able to find a home for them? Would you help them?

THE DRAMA OF THE “PPP”

(Potentially Dangerous Dogs)

What a sad reality that these poor dogs have to suffer. Their size, strength, sometimes even their appearance and the prejudices towards them make life so difficult with them that almost nobody dares to adopt them . Dumped by youngsters who want to look like tough guys, but after a while get tired of them or people who use them for profit in illegal dog fights, dogs stolen for those same purposes, they appear all over Spain debilitated and with a broken soul. Despite their appearance they’re very often good and loving … Why nobody deals with this sad reality? Why nobody seems to care?
Animals condemned to death or to spending their whole life behind bars. Some might get lucky, but they’re the minority and all the shelters and dog pounds in Spain are overflowing with them, because they have no way out. Recently we have been in touch with other shelters to find out how they were managing this problem, and the answer was always the same; there is no solution, unless it comes from above in the form of proper legislation.
Society must become aware of this reality. Perhaps the most sensible at this point would be to prohibit breeding as it has already been done in other countries. At present we are very disheartened by this issue and we know that we’re not the only ones. Some of these dogs are condemned to spend all their life in the shelter, or in a concrete kennel behind bars ! And no, we don’t condemn them. They have been condemned by the owners of the mothers of these dogs, by allowing them to come into the world , they have been condemned by the people who have abandoned them and they are condemned by prejudices and an absurd law that classifies them as potentially dangerous dogs . These boys and girls are very affectionate, they love being with people, receiving pampering and they have a lot of love to give. They just need someone to give them the opportunity to prove it. Will you be the person that will help any of these kids to fulfill their dream of having a loving family. Please help them find a Home. They are all lovely and they are all going crazy with happiness when they get a visit . They love receiving cuddles and they are trying to attract your attention constantly to get them. Unfortunately, the visits last only a little while, then they return to stay alone in their kennel ! Getting a license is not difficult, it is done in one day and liability insurance is not expensive, many people think that it is difficult to adopt a PPP but it is not true.

SCOOBY-MASTINS
They impress with their size and their appearance as bears, they are usually calm, noble, intelligent dogs, very defenders of their family and territory, affectionate, also stubborn at times …. It is another breed that suffers the most in our country; left behind to their fate in most cases they appear at villages and fields. We’ll find it very difficult to find families for them, mainly because of their size …
In the video ( July/30/2020) you will see some of our big guys who are waiting for a loving Home…

INNOCENT “SCARED ANGELS ”

It is really tough to promote these poor scared Angels, since almost nobody ever asks for them …
This is terribly unfair because their behaviour is a result of a bad experiences with people before arriving here. Neglect, abuse, or indifference are among the things they were subjected to in their previous lives, so shouldn’t they be the ones we most care for and pamper to help them get the opportunity they didn’t have? To compensate them for the damage they have suffered?
People may think that it’s too difficult, and it’s true that every case is different, and that some of these shy Angels may never completely recover from their trauma. However, what is also true, that they always do get better when shown love and care.
There is nothing that makes us happier than seeing one of these shy Angels adopted by conscious, patient and loving people , because we wish each of them has an opportunity…please

Their days are 365 days of the year… but today we raise our voices for them and we again denounce the abuse and abandonment suffered by the PODENCOS in Spain.

If you adopt a Podenco you will fall in love with this special breed that is so badly treated in our country; they are jolly guys, trustful, affectionate, intelligent, loyal, loving, just perfect company…

On May-28th, Spain celebrates “mixed-breed-dog- day”, dogs without a pedigree…

in order that at least once a year, the mixed-breed dogs are getting more media attention.
They, like breed dogs, also deserve to be loved by a family. They are all lovely and they are all going crazy with happiness when they get a visit . They love receiving cuddles and they trying to attract your attention constantly to get them. Unfortunately, the visits last only a little while, then they return to stay alone in their kennel …
Please, think about them too , they are unique and incomparable !

“Deformed jaws, crooked teeth, broken legs, broken hips, hip dislocations, torn tendons, scars, limping, short(cut of) tails, 1 eye missing, half blind, skin problems, intestinal problems, depending on special food, depending on medication, ( partly) cut off ears…

The Beautiful “Imperfect” ( mixed-breed) Dogs… they have as much love to give as all the other dogs. These poor, sweet, innocent Angels are very much in need and are very much deserving of a loving home too …They need you, maybe even more…It is unfair to search for the perfect dog, because in that search we would leave all these beautiful “Imperfect”Dogs behind…

The Secret of “the SCOOBY SUCCES” : WORK-WORK and more WORK

May /2019 is coming to an end, Thank God, my feelings are difficult to express ; on one side an enormous happiness , more than 200 dogs and 75 cats have found their golden basket, but the work at the shelter has been enormous, you cannot imagine the huge amount of papers that need to be prepared, TRACES, passports, registrations , the new papers for the American government, it has been a real nightmare . And what about the transportations, to the airport and to all those countries , every weekend we have had at. Least one transport and believe me, this is exhausting, more than 30000 km. driven in 1 month ! and here I would like to thank specially to our drivers, doing this job tirelessly and with a huge responsabilty between their hands , they always did a very efficient job.
The final result is a huge success , LOTS OF HAPPY ANIMALS AND HAPPY FAMILIES , and do you want to know the secret for this enormous success; WORK, WORK AND MORE WORK , some people sometimes ask themselves what is the secret from Scooby , voilá an enormous amount of work. Thanks to everyone involved,
