Photo June/20/2019 “Sweet girl, MINERVA ”

MINERVA is a 5+ year old Galga (born 2015) She arrived at Scooby/ Residencia on Feb/24/2018; from Jerez de la Frontera
Minerva was saved by Scooby from the Perrera /Jerez de la Frontera (saved from the death…) ( together with CHICA/ chip 7135)
When she arrived this very unfortunate poor Angel was so very, scared and very traumatized (socialized** and traumatized**).
Now, she is doing so much better, but still expresses her fear by barking at strangers, her life must have been a hell…
She is great with all other dogs and when she knows and trusts you very good she will let herself touch and than she is so sweet and loves the cuddles
She is Not dominant towards the other dogs, just scared for strangers so being in a loving, patience family will help her to trust people in time
This poor girl has been waiting too long in the shelter now ( since Feb/2018) She is in urgent need of a loving Home, finally. After all it was not her fault to get so scared and traumatized during her horrible life working as hard as she possibly could for the ungreatful Galguero , who, in the end , dumped her in the Perrera as a piece of trash; left to die !…how cruel this is
Please give this Angel a chance too…she soo very much desererves a loving Home after everything she had to go through…

Update Sept/9/2019 from Scooby/Residencia  :  Minerva, beautiful but scared girl. Barks a lot at strangers but when she knows you well she is a lovely girl !

Update June /21/2019 : ” Minerva was saved by Scooby from Jerez de la Frontera. She was very, very scared and traumatised
Now, she is doing much better , but still expresses her fear by barking at strangers to scare them off. Her life must have been a hell. She is great with all other dogs and when she knows and trusts you very good she will let herself touch and than she is so sweet and loves the cuddles. She is not dominant towards the other dogs, just scared for strangers so being in a family will help her to regain confidance in humans very quick.

Update from the Scooby : ” SCARED ANGELS “
It is really tough to promote these poor scared Angels, since almost nobody ever asks for them …
This is terribly unfair because their behaviour is a result of a bad experiences with people before arriving here. Neglect, abuse, or indifference are among the things they were subjected to in their previous lives, so shouldn’t they be the ones we most care for and pamper to help them get the opportunity they didn’t have? To compensate them for the damage they have suffered?
People may think that it’s too difficult, and it’s true that every case is different, and that some of these shy Angels may never completely recover from their trauma. However, what is also true, that they always do get better when shown love and care.
There is nothing that makes us happier than seeing one of these shy Angels adopted by conscious, patient and loving people , because we wish each of them has an opportunity…please
